Damage status and maintenance measures of injection mold

The injection mold should test the various properties of the mold under the normal operation of the injection molding machine and measure the size of the final molded plastic part. Based on this information, the existing status of the mold can be determined, and the cavity, core, and cooling can be found. Where the system and parting surface are damaged, according to the information provided by the plastic part, the damage status of the mold and the maintenance measures can be judged.

Elastic parts such as springs are most vulnerable to damage during use, and they often break and deform. The method adopted is replacement. During the replacement process, we must pay attention to the specifications and models of the springs. The specifications and models of the springs must be confirmed by the three items of color, outer diameter and length, and they can only be replaced if all three items are the same.

During the use of mold products, the punches are prone to break, bend and buckle, and the punch sleeves are generally cracked. The damage of the punch and the sleeve is generally replaced with parts of the same specification. The parameters of the punch mainly include the size of the working part, the size of the mounting part, and the length.

The parts also need to be fixed from time to time. It is often necessary to check whether the fastening parts are loose or damaged. The method adopted is to find the same specifications for replacement.

During maintenance, check the relationship between parts and damage, repair the damaged parts, check for air leakage by pneumatic jacking, and take measures for specific situations. Replace if damaged.

It is important to track and detect several important parts of the mold: the role of the ejection and guide components is to ensure the mold opening and closing movements and ejection of the plastic parts. If any part of the mold is stuck due to damage, it will lead to production suspension, so it should be kept frequently Die thimble and guide post lubrication (select the most suitable lubricant), and regularly check the thimble and guide post for deformation and surface damage. Once found, it should be replaced in time;

After completing a production cycle, the professional working surface, movement and guide parts of the mold should be coated with professional anti-rust oil, especially the protection of the elastic strength of gears, rack mold bearing parts and spring molds should be ensured to ensure that they are always In the best working condition;

At the same time, attention should be paid to the cleaning of the flow channel, because the longer the time, the cooling channel is prone to deposit scale, rust, silt and algae, etc., which makes the cooling flow channel section smaller, the cooling channel narrower, and greatly reduces the heat exchange between the cooling liquid and the mold Rate, increasing production costs. For hot runner mold products, the maintenance of the heating and control system helps prevent production failures.
